The television conference group MIPCOM is sponsoring the second year of its Mobile TV Awards (see below).
The categories are:
* Best Original Made-for-Mobile Film or Video Content
* Best Repurposed Content from existing Film or TV property
* Best Made-for-Mobile TV Channel
* Best Format for Interactive Mobile TV
* Best Mobile Format for User-Generated Content
The content can include virtually anything: Drama, comedy, animation, news, children, advertising and “not forgetting new mobile formats and channels,” MIPCOM says.
Submissions
The contest should be available for submissions any day. Perhaps I missed it, but the only information on the Web site says the call for entries opens in June, but there’s no additional information.
The deadline for submissions is September 4, 2006 and the awards ceremony will be held during the MIPCOM 2006 conference on October 9 – 13 in in Cannes.
