SmarTVideo and the Content Asia Network have launched the first Chinese-language mobile television channel (see below) in the United States, according to the press release (pdf file -- boo!).
The 24-hours-a-day channel cost $4.95 per month for three feeds that offer news, sports, comedy, drama, news and cultural progams. Looking at the program listing on the Web site, almost all the shows are one hour.
Content is from China, Korea, Japan and the Philippines.
Other shows
SmarTVideo also offers a variety of English-language mobile TV shows, including a basic plan of some 24 channels for $12.95 per month plus individual premium priced shows for $3.95 to $6.95 per month.
