I posted a comment on LostRemote.com and want to reiterate it here: The camera phone with video recording capabilities will revolutionize reporting.
Even journalists who always have a camcorder in their cars (assuming the battery is charged!) aren't going to carry it around all the time.
But what will they have almost all the time? You guessed it: A camera phone.
Camera phone video quality
Virtually all (maybe all) camera phones produce videos that are good enough to post on the Web if the information is sufficiently important. Indeed, many camera phone videos are just fine even if the news isn't that important.
And, with camera phones beginning to offer video recording capabilities of 30 frames per second (such as from Sony Ericsson and Nokia), quality will be almost a non-issue. Television stations already are showing even poor quality camera phone videos for newsworthy events.
