From Mobile Entertainment I see that a new company (new to me at least), Gorillabox, is offering mobile television consulting and platform services (see left). The U.K.-based company says it has created its own video delivery platform, G-box, that can accommodate any media, both streaming and on-demand downloads, via GSM GPRS or EDGE in Europe.
An article in Pocket-lint quotes Christian Harris, the founder and CEO of Gorillabox, who says, “There’s been a lot of hype around mobile TV. But we’re looking to cut through that hype and show brands, content owners and mobile operators that mobile TV also makes commercial sense.
“As well as enabling brands to engage more directly with their customers, we’re going to show marketeers there’s money in mobile TV. Because of our agreements with UK operators, we’ll guarantee to pass on all the revenue to our clients so they can easily track the effectiveness of their mobile TV marketing campaigns.”
I’d like to see Harris post details about how he will “show marketeers there’s money in mobile TV.” I think everyone in the mobile TV business would like to see that!
Hi Hellen,
Thanks very much for pointing out the mistake in the URL for Gorillabox. It should be .net, not .com. I have changed it so the URL is correct and points to the company's Web site.
Glad you like Kyte TV. I know about it and like the idea.

Hi
I just read this article and went to www.gorillabox.com, and I'm not sure whether this should be a joke or whether the wrong link was given. This site although is a spam site.
I personally can recommend one very serious platform for mobile Tv: www.kyte.tv
I use it since a month now and I love it. Go check it out if you're into it.
cheers
hellen
