Four African countries — Ghana, Kenya, Namibia and Nigeria — are broadcasting DVB-H-based mobile television using content from DMTV and infrastructure equipment from Nokia Siemens Networks, according to Dow Jones Newswires.
As I wrote a few weeks ago about Ghana’s mobile TV, DMTV is a satellite service promoting the DStv Mobile brand (see above). Nokia phones are used for the mobile TV service; I don’t know if other handset manufacturers also are compatible.
